Celebrating over 100 years of serving our clients’ needs
Insurance policies serve as your individual protection. Policies are indispensable, but can turn into money pits if not carefully tailored to your particular needs.
We carefully consider which insurance benefits suit your individual needs and which benefits are likely to be superfluous. With the right policy and a secure future on the horizon, you can get back to living for the moment!

Stanford Agency was founded in 1916 in Elizabeth, N.J. by Charles Britton who operated the business as a full service insurance and real estate agency. Later, we would become a State of New Jersey motor vehicle agency as well. Now, fast forward more than 100 years and three generations later, the same family is still at the reins of the agency. In 1930 his son-in-law Richard Selg joined the firm and help to build up the insurance side of the business. By 1955 the office was thriving as a full service insurance agency and brought on Richard's son-in-law Leland Stanford Jr. who helped to develop the professional liability division. Twenty Eight (28) years later the agency became a four generation business with Leland Scott Stanford joining the agency in 1983. In 1997 we moved from North Broad Street, Elizabeth to downtown Roselle Park. Then in 2016 we moved to Tinton Falls where we are located today.
